Two bloggs in one day whooooooo! But at the hospital where I work, they quite often have little insirational thoughts on the computor .. and this one really got me. I think sometimes we need a little inspiration in our lives to keep us true to ourselves and to others. Its a busy world we live in and sometimes the speed we go at, doesn't afford us the opportunities to see clearly what is around us, what is behind us and more importantly what is ahead of us. This little poem really touched me and the photo taken by my dearest friend just fell into place ... so I want to share it with you.

One day an author was walking along the beach

he saw what looked like a young boy dancing.

As he neared, he realised the young boy was picking up objects

off the beach and hurling them past the breakers.

"Young fellow, what are you doing?" he asked,

"I am throwing the starfish back into the sea,

the tide is receding, and if I leave them they will surely die".

"But there are millions of starfish, how will it make a difference?"

The young boy picked up another one and hurled it past the breakers.

"It made a difference to that one"

I haven't been able to get the time to add to my bloggs over the past few weeks and I must admit I've missed it. I sat down tonight and read through some wonderful entries from some fellow blogaholics and was amazed.

The last few entries have been introducing you to some little members of my family and this entry is sort of the same (with a difference).

A few weeks ago I walked into a store and spotted the most beautiful little baby doll that I've ever seen. I ummed and arrred about him, wondering about him (do I want him ? or don't I?) knowing all the time that I really did. I guess I was trying to justify the cost. Anyway, I had pretty much put him to the back of my mind UNTIL we (my hubby, kids and best friend) were at a market place where there was a little antique shop that just happened to have a doll size cradle which was an exact replica of the one I had for my children when they were babies. I knew then "it was a sign" ...I now have the cradle, and "Cobie William". He is so cute and he really was meant to be mine. It's bad though, when you feel like you have to justify, basically wasting money on non-essential things, just because. But its not often I spend money on myself. Now I have set myself a task and I'm wanting ideas. I want to sand the cradle back, paint it up and then make a beautiful little set for it, but am really unsure where to start, what colours to do it in and how to go about it all..... so if anyone has ideas.. I'm open to suggestion. I'm thinking the cradle would look nice in a cream colour. ... Kerri

The JJ's in my life (JoJo and Jasper James)

Well it was as I expected .. the time with JoJo went so fast and she's back in Sydney already. It was great having her over. She has totally ruined any potential chance for me to ever have a clean house again, because all I seem to do in my spare time is photos.. photos.. and more photos. We had such a good time out and about snapping anything that crossed our paths, so when we got home we had even more reasons to sit around on our computors, listening to music, talking and laughing while we compiled blocks of photos. Some of the topics of our conversations which must for dexterity remain confidential such as "the wind in the willows" and "who bloo the loo" will never see a straight face in my home again. I love her so much, she is the best friend anyone could ever in their wildest dreams hope to have. I can just imagine how it was for her hubby though, not having her around for the two weeks, I know he missed her terribly. I promised Jo I would start to photograph some of my craft projects so I can share them with you, so I'm charging up my camera to do that. In the mean while I have another of my family members to introduce to you .. This is Jasper James, my big-boy cat. He is shiny, black, spoilt rotten and soooo loveable. He is a great example of the expression you often hear when people say that we chose the cat we have but they own us. Meet Jasper.

Its only 2 more days before my best friend heads home so Sydney and I seriously don't want to think about when she's gone. I'm going to miss her so much. We have been right into the photo's and man have we had some fun. She has taught me heaps. I'll leave you with some of my pages that I have done, some that I am really pleased with. We went to Perth today, to Freemantle, Geeez they have really got some awsome markets there (NOT), but atleast the company was good. I got an absolutely fantastic buy though .. An old fashioned baby cradle only in doll size. It is exactly the same design as the one we had when Mel was a little bubba.. Now I know that the little porcelain doll that I've had my eyes on is meant to be mine. My hubby said to go and get it. Its a little baby boy and it is so sweet ..he needs a home ... I will need some help to name him so if you have any suggestions please feel free. He is little, cute and has a sweet face, he looks like a new born and he is so loveable. Anyway we bought his cradle home today waiting for him to arrive but so far the only one that has been in it is my little cat Lucy. It puts new meaning to the Harry Chapin song "cats in the cradle". She does look cute in it though. We're all sitting around the table on our laptops, my hubby, my baby girl( who looks beautiful with her new hair cut), my best friend and me, all sitting around together, how perfect. Anyway till next time, stay safe and happy.

Meet my princess

I've been busy with a new photo program that I purchased. Its amazing how much fun can come from a computor when you are borderline computor illiterate to computor dumb, But let me tell you that it is possible to learn new things when you have someone sitting by your side, with the patience of a saint, their can of pepsi max and a chocolate bar. My best friend JoJo is as much a computor guru as my hubby, they could both hack into the Nasa if it meant finding something that they want to find, but this is a bonus for someone like me who needs to learn. Anyway.. This is one of my first projects and I'm so proud of it. This is my little Princess .. Her name is Lucy Marie, and she is as pretty as a picture and I just had to share her with you all. She is spoilt, But I prefer to think of it as "well loved". Say Hi to Lucy. She has two big brothers, named Jasper James (another cat) and Bobby Frederick (a bird) who you will all meet later and a sister named Jetta Mae (a dog) Plus her human sister and two human brohers. No wonder she's spoilt. As i get a bit more fine tuned at my photo craft I will send you all photos of each of them. anyway that will be for another day.

Surprises Galore

Well the last two weeks have certainly held out for surprises. My wonderful husband organised a surprise visit from my mum. He brought her over last Friday so she could spend a week with us. We had a good week too. This trip she actually got to look around the area and take in some sights including walking the sea mile at Busselton Jetty. Poor darlin' she was so tired by the end of it ..but she did it.. she is a real trooper. Luv her to bits and I really find it hard saying goodbye to her. It's horrible saying goodbye at the airport ..real gut wrenching and I wasn't feeling the best as we watched her plane disappear into the clouds over Perth airport. Hubby knws how hard it is and he's sensitive to that, so he took us all down to the Dome cafe to get a cuppa and some lunch. Well blow me down ...who should walk in but my best friend JoJo. She had arrived 1/2 hour earlier than planned from Sydney for a 2 week holiday with us (yet another surpise). I think everyone in the cafe knew her name by the time we had finished hugging each other and the tears stopped. She is the reason that I'm hear blogging now. She has set me up and got me up and running. She is wonderful, and we seem to bounce ideas and tasks of each other all the time. She is a blogaholic, and she is wonderful and I luv her dearly. I know the next 2 weeks are going to fly but I would like to share them with you. Sammie (AKA .. Kerri)
